THE PILGRIMAGE EXPERIENCE
“Compostela” is a sixteen or seven day guided spiritual pilgrimage from León or Sarria to Santiago, Spain. Through one-on-one spiritual direction sessions before and after the Camino, daily spiritual reflection questions while walking, and reflective group conversations each afternoon, you will have the opportunity to reflect on how and why you have been called to the Camino at this time in your life and what does it mean for you personally to be a pilgrim. Ultreia Ministry will help you plan your own transportation from your home to our meeting point on the Camino and to return home afterwards. While on the Camino, all accommodations, daily walking stages, and baggage transfers will be planned for you so you can focus on the spiritual and personal experience of this pilgrimage. Our guide, Laura, will be with you every day on the Camino. The walk from Sarria to Santiago is 72 miles, and from Leon to Santiago it is a 191 mile walk. Each day is an average of 13 miles walking. When you arrive in Santiago, Laura will help you retrieve your Compostela Certificate, attend a pilgrim’s mass at the Cathedral of Santiago, and enjoy a celebration dinner.
Ultreia Ministry provides a packing list, a suggested training schedule, three group zoom sessions for planning and preparation, and one-on-one support as requested.
