THE PILGRIMAGE EXPERIENCE

“Compostela” is an eight or fifteen day guided spiritual pilgrimage from Leon or Sarria to Santiago, Spain. Through one-on-one spiritual direction sessions before and after the Camino, daily spiritual reflection questions while walking, and reflective group conversations each afternoon, you will have the opportunity to reflect on how and why you have been called to the Camino at this time in your life and what does it mean for you personally to be a pilgrim. Ultreia Ministry will help you plan your own transportation from your home to our meeting point on the Camino and to return home afterwards. While on the Camino, all accommodations, daily walking stages, and baggage transfers will be planned for you so you can focus on the spiritual and personal experience of this pilgrimage. Our guide, Laura, will be with you every day on the Camino. The walk from Sarria to Santiago is 72 miles, and from Leon to Santiago it is a 191 mile walk. Each day is an average of 13 miles walking. When you arrive in Santiago, Laura will help you retrieve your Compostela Certificate, attend a pilgrim’s mass at the Cathedral of Santiago, and enjoy a celebration dinner.

Ultreia Ministry provides a packing list, a suggested training schedule, three group zoom sessions for planning and preparation, and one-on-one support as requested.

MORE INFORMATION

I want to highly recommend Laura Rasmussen as a wonderful guide for anything she puts her effort towards! Laura planned and led a spiritual pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago for us in the fall of 2023. It was a wonderful experience and Laura thought of and took care of every detail of our trip! Her joyful spirit was refreshing as we walked along the path. Her spiritual insights added to the journey as well as her past experiences in leading the pilgrimage.

May you awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence. May you have joy and peace in the temple of your senses.

Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
